Sexual Misconduct Awareness

St Vladimir's Seminary adheres to the “Policies, Standards, and Procedures of the Orthodox Church in America on Sexual Misconduct,” issued by the Synod of Bishops of the Orthodox Church in America (OCA), 2014. In accordance with Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 (“Title IX”), the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (the “Clery Act”), as amended by the Violence Against Women/Campus Sexual Violence Act (“Campus SaVE Act”), and Article 129-B of the New York State Education Law, the seminary is committed to maintaining a community free from all forms of sexual misconduct.

The seminary's Title IX Coordinator is responsible for compliance efforts and for coordinating the seminary’s response to all complaints involving possible sex discrimination, including educational programs and admission. This also includes all forms of discrimination, limitations on consensual relationships, sex discrimination, sexual harassment, sexual assault/rape, exploitation and other sexual misconduct, stalking, dating and domestic violence, and intimidation and retaliation for filing such complaints.
