Arpi Nakashian serves as an Online Education Consultant at St Vladimir’s Seminary. She specializes in ed-tech within and outside of classroom settings, using various digital channels, media, combining modern teaching tools and ancient pedagogical methods rooted in the tradition of the Church. With this combination of old and new, she works to advance the mission of St Vladimir’s Seminary through Online Education.
Arpi is an Armenian, born and raised in Jerusalem’s ancient Armenian Christian community. As a doctoral student in theology at Radboud University in the Netherlands, she is currently writing her PhD thesis, entitled “The Book of Job in the Armenian Tradition”. Arpi previously earned an MA in General Theology from St Vladimir’s Orthodox Theological Seminary and St Nersess Armenian Seminary (class of 2015), as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies from California State University, Stanislaus. She highlights that there is always room to learn more and communicate better; as we continually question ourselves like God questioned Job — have we reached the source of the sea or walked along the tracks of the deep (Job 38:16)?
